MO and flow

Can someone take a few minutes and explain what MOengine is and why there are duplicates of the pages there, and what the general flow of the site is between the types html, php, pml and whatever else there is?

MOengine can be erased it was a backup of the engine folder during upgrade it is not run by the script..

also .pml and .ihtml files are from version 2.0 and can be deleted when running 3.0

3.0 uses .php and .html extensions
