This is a very interesting idea. If it means that the person doing the search will join the site that contains the person they found it would be great.

if they see someone they are interested on another site in the network they would have to sign up to that site in order to contact the person

I think this is a great idea even if you are sending traffic to your competition you will get traffic bank eventually and keep your surfers happy

The competition is out there, so users can go looking anytime. Sharing matches between us will keep users busy and keep them in our network of sites longer, so they have less time to go looking elsewhere. Pretty good marketing leverage to potential members- join and get their profile displayed on multiple sites. I'm in.
- Could there be some way to give them a discount/promo code in the "shared listing" for joining another site in the network?

That is a fantastic idea and I applaud it. leave room at the table for me on this one. we all win in the end
