Webscribble is gone, time to try osDate?

Postby sddarkman619 on Mon Jun 02, 2008 12:19 am

I put this here because osDate wasn't in teh "Other" dating software area.
anyone have any experience with this? I know its got bugs, what doesnt? at least its open source and users work on it and fix the bugs.
I have been toying the idea of using it and wanted others opinion if they have experience with it...

I do like webdate, but with the advent of their site going down today, and not coming back up immediately, I am not sure webdate is the way to go anymore. its a shame because witht he bugs it has I have been able to work them out and actually make a bit of cash.
*sigh*

Watch this space. I am 75% through removing all licensing checks so that we can all stay in business!

awesome...
know any way to reset the admin and admin password?
I tried changing my password yesterday to see if it would work and now I am completely locked out of my admin panel.

This is bad. I really need to get into my admin...

I'm currently a beta tester for osdate but haven't played with the latest version in testing. I do have the last stable version installed on my server. I've done some custom modding including an import script to move users from webdate 2.0 to osdate. I would recommend waiting for the latest stable release to come out. But that could be some time away. Development is very very slow.

I went into my config panel and tried to change my password to the backend, and then I couldn'/t get into it. I looked in the conf.xml file and there was the password plain as day that I put it, it wasn't encrypted. so I had to use the old encrypted password from a backup conf file in order to get back in. how do I go about changing the password of the backend so its encryprted?
thanks.
